Ed Kranepool was a Met his whole career (1962-79) and is a member of the NY Mets HOF. In 1966, Kranepool paced the Mets with a career high 16 home runs. Prior to the start of the 1965 season, the Mets acquired Warren Spahn from the Milwaukee Braves. Kranepool gave up his number 21 to Spahn, who had worn that number his entire career, and began wearing number 7. This jersey was professionally restored back to 7. On the front left tail of this grey flannel, is the WIlson size 42 label, with two flag tags attached: SET 1 & 66. Inside the neck, is a strip tag with: 7-42 chain stitched in navy.“NEW YORK” across the chest and player number (7) on the front / back - both done in blue felt on orange tackle twill. Mets disc patch on the left sleeve. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear.
