HOFer, “Hammerin Hank” Aaron is the all-time home run king with 755 and was a 25x MLB All-Star. Some little known history on Hank - during his outstanding play in the Negro Leagues, for the Indianapololis Clowns, Aaron received two offers from MLB teams via telegram, one from the New York Giants and the other from the Boston Braves. Years later, Aaron remembered:I had the Giants' contract in my hand. But the Braves offered fifty dollars a month more. That's the only thing that kept Willie Mays and me from being teammates – fifty dollars. This is a Hillerich & Bradsby A99 35” X 34.2oz ash bat. Uncracked with evidence of outstanding use. Several ball marks, ball stitch impressions, red and blue bat rack streaks. The handle displays a light coat of pine tar with additional pine tar patches on the barrel, possibly from a donut. Aaron’s number (44) on the knob in vintage black marker. Aaron has signed and inscribed the left and back barrel in black marker “Hank Aaron World Series 1986”, in our opinion rating a 8-9. Accompanied by a full PSA LOA, grading the bat a 9. Also accompanied by a full JSA LOA.
