Ichiro Suzuki had one of the longest professional careers in baseball with 28 Nippon Professional Baseball and the MLB. Suzuki played the first 9 years of his career until his move to the Seattle Mariners in 2001. At the time Ichiro quickly got attention from the media as he was the first Japanese-born position player to play for an MLB team. During his career the future hall of famer received 17 consecutive selections both as an All-Star and Gold Glove winner and played for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, and Miami Marlins. When looking at his combined stats of both the MLB and NPB Ichiro has 4,367 hits in his professional career, the most of any player in history. This size 7 1/2 New York Yankees batting helmet features his number “31” on the brim and rear side. The helmet was sourced from the Andre Dawson Foundation who received the helmet as a donation for a fundraiser. The helmet has been presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by an LOA from the Marlins Community Affairs Department addressed to the Andre Dawson Foundation and an LOA from MEARS.
