American tennis great Andy Roddick was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2017. Roddick played his final professional tennis match on September 5, 2012, at the US Open against Juan Martin Del Potro. The match was highly anticipated as it was widely expected to be Roddick's final appearance on the tennis court as Roddick had announced prior to the tournament that he would retire at the end of the US Open. Del Potro won the match with a 7-6(1) victory in the fourth set tiebreak. Presented is the tennis ball used for the match point in Roddick’s final match.
