Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were the most popular comedic duo of the 1940s and 1950s. The duo found initial success in radio but quickly transitioned to TV and Hollywood films. At the time their partnership ended in 1957 the duo had starred in 36 films, many of them being major box office hits. Featured is an original Abbott and Costello Jack and the Beanstalk Golden Egg crew trophy and a Lou Costello engraved aluminum presentation lighter. The trophy matches other examples and was sourced from the estate of a crew member per our consignor. The Lou Costello lighter is an item that the late comedian gave out to close friends and the face of the lighter is engraved “Your Pal Lou Costello”. The trophy shows signs of tarnishing but is in good condition overall. The lighter is in excellent condition with minimal use and a sharp engraving.
