In 1991 Rod Carew was inducted into the hall of fame for his contributions to the game on and off the field. Upon his retirement from baseball he was an 18 time All-Star, won seven AL batting titles (the second most AL batting titles in history), and was the recipient of the 1977 Roberto Clemente Award for his community work. In honor of his induction Carew hand painted 6 C243 bats with dozens of names of fellow hall of famers. The one featured here comes from the collection of our consignor who is closely associated with Carew.
