This fabulous walking stick was almost certainly sold at Navin Field as Cochrane, Gehringer, Greenberg and Goslin were visited by Dizzy Dean's Gashouse Gang in the 1934 World Series. Measuring 37" when closed, the cane expands to 52" when fully extended, and unfurls to reveal a 23" long orange silk flag listing the team roster, an image of the mascot, and the words "1934 American League Champs." The pennant remains free of any tearing or staining after seventy-plus years cocooned inside the cane. A wonderfully evocative piece of Depression-era baseball.
