The greatest pitcher in Orioles history, HOFer Jim Palmer spent his entire career (1965-1984) in Baltimore. He won 20 games 8 times (this season being one of them), tying Lefty Grove for second place all-time, behind only Walter Johnson. Palmer won the Cy Young award three times and the Gold Glove four times, and his clutch wins include four pennant-clinchers in 1966 and 1969-1971. His last win came in relief in Game Three of the 1983 World Series, making him the first pitcher in history to win a World Series game in three different decades. On the front left tail of this grey flannel, is the SPALDING label with attached size 46 tag and below is a wash label. Inside the back of the neck, is a strip tag with: 46 Set 2 70 22, stitched in black. Team city (Baltimore) across the chest and player number (22) below that and on the back - both done in orange on black felt. Palmer has signed below player number on front, in black marker, in our opinion rating a 7. The name on back has been removed. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear - minor staining on the back. Accompanied by a JSA ALOA.
