Len Bias was considered the most dynamic player in the nation at the University of Maryland. By his senior year, scouts from the various National Basketball Association teams viewed Bias as the most complete forward in the Class of 1986. Celtics scout Ed Badger called Bias an "explosive and exciting kind of player" and compared him to Michael Jordan. Bias tragically passed away, merely days after the draft, due to a cardiac arrhythmia due to cocaine usage. He is considered by many sportswriters to be the greatest player not to play at the professional level. On the front left tail of this gold dazzle cloth, is the Champion size L tag. Attached is a flag tag that is either faded or blank. Across the chest reads “MARYLAND”. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “34”. These are screened on, in red on black. Across the back is the player name “BIAS” screened on, in red. Inside the back waistband of the shorts is a Champion size L tag. Attached are two tags which have faded. One appears to say “1 EXTRA RISE”. This uniform is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Directly sourced from an ex-Reebok sales rep - Bias was in talks with Reebok on an endorsement package at the time of his passing.
