Rusty Staub is a NY Mets HOFer and 6x MLB All-Star. This is a Wilson A2800 professional model 1st baseman’s glove. The pocket has been restored and it appears the web has been re-laced. ‘Rusty’ is handwritten in the back of the glove in black marker and Staub has autographed the back of the glove in black marker, in our opinion rating a 5 which JSA was unable to authenticate. Three areas of the glove have been marked over and we cannot make out the inscriptions that have been covered. The glove features a closed ‘Pro-Back’ with a finger hole and adjustable wrist strap, a single post Triple T-Bar web and twin tri-laced palm hinges. Manufacturer labeling features a frayed Wilson logo on the back of the thumb sleeve and a lightly branded ‘Wilson’ on the heel. This glove is properly marked, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear. Accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA.
