Ryne Duren was known for the combination of his blazing fastball and his very poor vision. With his thick eyeglasses, few batters dared to dig in against Duren. Casey Stengel said, "I would not admire hitting against Ryne Duren, because if he ever hit you in the head you might be in the past tense." This is a Wilson A2000 professional model, with ‘Duren’ handwritten on the back of the middle finger sleeve in black marker. Constructed of Wilson’s top grade tanned steer hide bound with tanned rawhide laces and nylon stitching. One piece ‘Triple Lock Web’, a ‘Grip Tite Pocket’, a ‘Hold Tite’ adjustable wrist label with ‘Wilson’ lightly branded on the heel. This glove is properly marked, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear. Accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA, as well as an additional LOA.
