By the time Dempsey left Baltimore, signing as a free agent with Cleveland in 1987, he had caught more games for the Orioles than anyone in franchise history. His greatest moment came as MVP of the 1983 World Series. On the inside left front tail is the "Rawlings" label with the size "44" and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1986." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Orioles" in script style letters and on the back is a gray nameplate with the name "Dempsey." The player number "24" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. All the letters and numbers are made of orange on black tackle twill. There is an autograph on the upper right front. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
