This is a period baseball signed by approximately 30 players from the 1939 NL Champion Cincinnati reds, likely during Spring Training. The 1939 Cincinnati Reds rode the pitching of Paul Derringer and Bucky Walters to the National League pennant with a 97-57 record. The Reds finished 4 ½ games ahead of the second place St. Louis Cardinals. Signatures include: Ernie Lomboardi (HOF), Bill McKehnie (HOF & Manager), Wally Berger, Bucky Walters (1939 NL MVP), Johnny Vander Meer (2 straight No Hitters in 1938), Nino Bongiovanni “Nino Bongy”, Ival Goodman, Jimmie Wilson, Lee Gamble, Nolen Richardson, Dick West and others. The ball is in NM condition and the signatures overall rate 6-8 in our opinion. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
