Hall of Famer Tony Perez was a key player in the Cincinnati Reds' dominant era known as the "Big Red Machine" during the 1970s. This 1972 game-worn cap belonged to Perez, who played first base and third base during his career. In that season, the Reds won the National League pennant. Perez had an impressive season, batting .283 with 21 home runs and 90 RBIs. This cap comes from the collection of Louis Kendrick, who received items directly from players and teams. The cap, with a Wilson manufacturer's tag, is a size 7 1/4 that has a faded "24" under the brim. The hat has been presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows wear.
