Roger Clemens wore this road jersey on October 14th, 2000 in Game 4 of the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners. Clemens threw a complete game gem with 15 strikeouts and only 1 hit allowed in a 5-0 victory. On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer’s tag with a Steiner hologram. Attached below are two flag tags reading “52 POLYESTER” and “2” EXTRA LENGTH” as well as a strip tag reading “YO”. On the left sleeve is the black memorial armband in honor of Bob Lemon. On the right sleeve is the “World Series 2000” patch which was added. Clemens did not pitch on the road during the World Series which indicates that he wore this on the bench during those games. Across the chest reads “NEW YORK” and on the back is the player number “22”. All numbering and lettering is done in navy blue on white tackle twill. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by a Steiner LOA and a letter from Photo-Match.com, confirming the match.
