Joe Torre was inducted into Cooperstown in 2014 with 100% of the vote. Torre’s managerial benchmarks are well known but he was also an excellent player - 9x MLB All-Star and the 1971 NL MVP. He is the only Big Leaguer in history to achieve both 2,000 hits as a player and 2,000 wins as a manager. From 1996-2007, he guided the Yankees to six AL Pennants and four WS Championships. On the front left tail of this cream knit is the Wilson manufacturer label with size (44). Below is the year (1968) stitched in black. Team name (Braves) across the front and player number (15) on the back - both done in red on navy tackle twill. The left sleeve is adorned with the Braves “screaming Indian” logo which has been restored. The 100th anniversary patch has been removed from the right sleeve, with outline still remaining to signify extended organizational use. Torre has signed the right midsection in black marker, in our opinion rating a 7. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear.
