Fred Lynn was an important Red Sock in the 70s, so talented that in this Rookie Year of 1975, he won both AL ROY and MVP. In 145 games, he batted .331, 21 HR’s and 105 RBI’s. He led the AL in doubles, runs scored and slugging and even won a Gold Glove. On the front tail of this white knit, is a 1975 year tag with an adjacent wash tag. Inside the back of the neck is the McAULIFFE label with a size (44) tag below. RED SOX across the chest and player number (19) on the back - both done in red on navy tackle twill. Lynn has signed and inscribed the front “Fred Lynn 1975 A.L. M.V.P. R.O.Y.” in black marker, in our opinion rating a 7. There is no indication of the Mass Bicetennial patch ever being present on the sleeve. The only time duringt he season when this patch was not worn, was during the playoffs. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding wear - likely worn again in the spring of 76.
