His accolades include: 2x WS Champ, 4x NL Cy Young (this season included), 1972 Triple Crown, 10x All-Star and his No. 32 retired by the Phillies. In 1977, Carlton finished the season with: 23 wins, 2.64 ERA, 283 IP and 198 K’s. This is a Rawlings professional model HT 76 fiedler’s glove. Carlton’s number (32) is written on the back of the thumb and pinky finger sleeves, in black marker and he has autographed the glove on the back of the pinky finger and thumb sleeves in blue pen, in our opinion rating overall 5-7. There are other faded autographs on the glove as well. Larry Bowa and Ted Sizemore are legible, indicating the remaining signatures are members of the 1977 Phillies. Featuring a ‘Basket-Web’, a closed ‘Fastback’ with a finger hole and velcro wrist strap. Manufacturer tagging includes a Rawlings wrist label and embroidered ‘R’ logo at the base of the web. ‘Rawlings is branded on the heel. Two dots stamped on the thumb indccate the glove was manufactured in 1976. This glove is properly marked, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent wear. We were told by our consignor that this glove was originally sourced from a Clubhouse Attendant. Accompanied by a letter from PSA/DNA, as well as an additional LOA which in part states “The glove was obtained directly from Mr. Carlton”. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
