Rod Carew was inducted into Cooperstown in 1991 on the first ballot. His accolades include - 18x MLB All-Star, 1977 AL MVP, 1977 Roberto Clemente Award, 7x AL Batting Champ, and his No. 29 retired by both the Twins and the Angels. On the front-left tail of this white knit is the Wilson manufacturer label with size (42) and a flag tag attached “TAPERED”. Adjacent is a year (85) strip tag. Team name/logo (Angels) across the front, player number (29) below that and on the back, and player name (CAREW) across the back. Lettering and numbering is done in red on navy tackle twill. The left sleeve is adorned with a California logo patch. Carew has signed and inscribed adjacent to the player number on front “Rod Carew 3000 9/21/85”, in black marker, in our opinion rating an 8. This jersey is properly tagged - sans 25th patch on the right sleeve, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA, as well as an additional COA.
