HOFer Mark “the Moose” Messier won six Stanley Cups, received the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in 1984 and won two Hart Trophies. LIke Godie Howe, Messier is credited with being the most complete player of his generation. Inside the back left tail of this blue mesh jersey is the NHL / MeiGray Game-Worn label: B10611. NHL V (Vintage Series) patch on the right breast. Captain’s C on the left breast. Rangers logo crest on the front. Player name and number (MESSIER) & (11) on the back in white tackle twill. Player number (11) on the sleeves, in blue tackle twill. NHL and CCM on the back tail. Staining on the back tail. Fight strap intact with salting present. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. Accompanied by a copy of the Mei-Gray letter, which states “This one set of Vintage blue jerseys was worn by the New York Rangers in their 2-2 tie with the Montreal Canadiens on January 17, 2004 at the Bell Centre and in their game against the Boston Bruins on January 20, 2004 at MSG”. Also accompanied by a letter from Photo-Match.com, confirming the match.
