A year before he donned this 1984 Cincinnati Reds jersey as the team's pitching coach, Hall of Famer Jim Kaat completed a quarter-century big league career, one that saw him win 283 games mainly with the Minnesota Twins including a 25-win season in 1966. On the inside left tail of the home knit jersey is the "Rawlings" label and size "46." Adjacent is a flag tag with "Set 1 1984" and on the left front breast is the Reds logo and on the back "Kaat." The number "45" appears on the right breast and the back. The logo, letters and numbers are made of red tackle twill. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
