A media favorite, Lasorda used to claim that he bled "Dodger blue." He managed the Dodgers to division titles in 1983 and 1985. In 1988 he shared National League Manager of the Year honors with Jim Leyland of the Pirates and took the Dodgers to a shocking World Series upset of the A's. This jersey was worn during the 1988 World Series. In the neck of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label and the size "46." Adjacent to this is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1988." Across the front of the shirt is the name "Dodgers" in script style letters made of blue tackle twill and on the back is the name "Lasorda" in blue on white tackle twill. The player number "2" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. The number on the front is made of red tackle twill and the number on the back is made of blue on white tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the "1988 World Series" patch. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
