Mike Piazza was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016. One of the best hitting catchers in MLB history, Piazza is a 12-time All-Star and 10-time Silver Slugger Award winner. Piazza won rookie of the year honors in 1993 hitting 35 home runs with 112 RBI and a .318 batting average. On the inside back middle tail is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “48” with washing instructions. Attached are two tags reading “SET 1 1993” and “1 INCH EXTRA LENGTH”. On the left sleeve is a “52” black disc patch in honor of teammate Tim Crews. Across the chest reads “Dodgers” in blue tackle twill. The player number “31” appears below in red tackle twill. Across the back is the player name “PIAZZA” and below is the player number “31” in blue on white tackle twill. Piazza signed the front of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “Besh Wishes” and in our opinion rates a 9. Minor staining is present on the front of the jersey. Piazza game-used jerseys are rarely seen in this beautiful condition and this is one of the best Piazza’s in the hobby. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
