Joey Votto used this bat to hit career home run #158 on April 11th, 2014 and #159 on April 13th, 2014. Louisville Slugger manufactured M356 model bat that measures 34 inches and weighs 31.9 ounces. The ash wood bat with a black finish shows outstanding use with a slight handle crack that has been repaired. Numerous ball marks and stitch impressions are visible throughout the barrel and there is a heavy coat of pine tar on the lower handle. The date of manufacture, length and weight are stamped into the knob. The model number and Votto’s player number “19” and written on the knob in silver marker. Votto signed the front barrel in silver marker with the added inscription “GU ‘14” and in our opinion rates a strong 8. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA grading the bat a GU 9, a Photo-Match.com LOA and an ALOA from JSA.
