Frank Thomas' combination of power and high batting average puts him in the company of Ted Williams. At the start of his career he hit more homers over a comparable stretch than Ted Williams (not counting the two years Williams was in the service) and also topped Williams' six-year run of driving in 100 or more runs. This Rawlings, model 578B, measuring 34.5 inches and weighing 32 ounces, is uncracked and shows evidence of tremendous game-use. The barrel is covered with ball marks. Frank's #35 is on the knob in silver marker and his silver paint pen autograph rates a near 10. 1995 MVP, Mo Vaughn, was a fan favorite in Boston for his efforts on and off the field. Vaughn stayed in touch with Jason for the remaining 15 months of his life, and was a pallbearer and delivered a touching eulogy at Leader’s funeral. Vaughn’s ten year career includes eight seasons with 25 or more home runs and six seasons with 100 or more RBIS. This Rawlings war club, model MO42, measuring 36 inches and weighing 36.5 ounces, shows evidence of heavy game-use with a handle crack. The handle has been taped by Mo for grip. Vaughn’s #42 is on the handle in marker.
