New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge used this Chandler manufactured AJ44 model bat to hit career home runs #127 and #131 during the 2021 season. Career home run #127 came on May 11th against the Tampa Bay Rays in the first inning and career home run #131 came on May 16th against the Baltimore Orioles in the third inning. The maple bat measures 35 inches and weighs 33.4 ounces with a black finish. Judge would later break the bat in the game on May 16th in the 5th inning when it was taken out of play. The bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel as well as cleat marks. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and there is a moderate coat of Mota stick on the upper handle. Written on the knob is “AJ12” and the length and weight are stamped on the front barrel. The “AJ12” notation on the knob, in PSA/DNA’s opinion, memorializes the bat as being used by Judge to hit his 12th home run of the 2021 season. Judge signed the front barrel in silver marker with the added inscription “Game Used 5-16-21” and in our opinion rates a 9. Affixed to the barrel is a MLB hologram serial number “VS172831” and a Fanatics hologram serial number “AA0097183”. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA LOA grading the bat a GU 9.5, a Photo-Match.com LOA confirming the match and an additional LOA confirming the matches.
