The 2017 American League MVP and major league batting champion Jose Altuve used this bat on October 5th, 2017 in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Boston Red Sox. Altuve put on an unprecedented show of power hitting three home runs en route to an 8-2 victory over the Red Sox. It was just the 10th time a player hit three homers in a postseason game. This Victus manufactured custom model “JA27” bat measures 33 inches and weighs 32.3 ounces. The player number “27” is handwritten on the knob and bottom. Ball marks, impressions and cleat marks are seen throughout the barrel. Altuve signed the front barrel in silver marker with the added inscription “3 HRs 10/5/17 ALDS Gm #1 2017 AL MVP / WS Champs” and in our opinion rates an 8. Affixed to the barrel is a MLB hologram serial number “JB906268” and a Fanatics hologram serial number “AA0020139”. Accompanied by an additional LOA confirming the matches and pictures of Altuve signing the bat.
