Pictured here are two of the many awards that Herb Scharfman won throughout his exciting and fulfilling career as a sports photographer. Both awards contain a leather belt with two name plaques, one on each side of a centered silver wreath. The black leather belt is mounted on a finished wood base and both awards are in excellent condition. The 1951 award was presented to Herb Scharfman for his International News photo of New York Yankee pitching star, Allie Reynolds. The other award was presented to Herb for his Life Magazine photo of New York Yankee slugger, Roger Maris.
