This important piece of hockey history entered the hobby directly from the personal collection of Hall of Famer Brad Park. This was the last jersey he ever wore with the New York Rangers and the one given to him by the team. Inside the collar is the Gerry Cosby manufacturer’s tag with an attached tag reading the size “48” and a heavily faded flag tag. This jersey was first worn by Park during the 1974-75 NHL season. This was the year that Brad became the full time Captain of the Rangers. This gamer was then used until Park’s trade 13 games into the 1975-76 season. In preparation, the Captain’s “C” patch on the upper left chest was moved over to allow room for the very rare Rangers 50th anniversary patch. These patches were worn by the Rangers during the 1975-76 NHL season. Diagonally across the front reads “RANGERS”. The player number “2” is on both sleeves and the back. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on red tackle twill. The jersey consists of many stick marks that are littered across the body and sleeves. In addition there are board burns and board paint transfer, inner pilling and a 3+ inch long team-sewn repair which extends diagonally downward from the 50th anniversary patch. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a Brad Park LOA.
