This magnificent photo-matched Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion jersey may be the only white New York Rangers gamer the Hall of Fame right winger ever wore. The second player to score 50 goals in a season, Bernie had two Art Ross trophies and six Stanley Cups to his credit when he retired. After a coaching stint with the Quebec Aces failed, Bernie made his NHL comeback with the Rangers in 1966, playing two seasons before moving behind the bench. Geoffrion was pictured wearing this Rangers white jersey on the cover of the May 1967 issue of "Sportorama". Inside the tail are two box tags reading the year “65” and size “46” which indicates a carryover that was worn in 1966 which is common practice. There is what appears to be white paint on the left front tail. Diagonally across the front reads “RANGERS” and on the back is the player number “5”. These are done in blue on red tackle twill. The player number also appears on both sleeves in blue tackle twill. The right elbow displays great red and blue paint transfer. Small spotted stains appear under the right arm with a couple more stains on the right front and to the right of the color bands on the bottom edge of the front of the left sleeve. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a Photo-Match.com LOA.
