Muhammad Ali's fights around the globe made him one of the most popular and well-known figures in the world. These three souvenir pennants, in excellent condition, represent two instances when Ali hit the road, once for what was arguably the most famous fight in history and once for a quick payday. Two pennants are from the epic Ali-Foreman "Rumble in the Jungle" in Zaire on October 29, 1974 and carry the identical design, with an outline of the African nation and the billing of Ali as "The People's Champ" and Foreman as "World Heavyweight Champ." One of the pennants is green, the other purple. A third pennant is from the February 20, 1976 Ali-Jeanne Pierre Coopman fight in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This colorful flag bills the fight in Spanish and has an image of Ali on the left with some island scenes.
