When Branch Rickey went looking for the right man to integrate baseball, he found not one but two very special men. In fact, the color line could easily have been broken by Roy Campanella. A fixture behind the plate for nine seasons, Campy was a critical factor in five Dodger pennants and its world championship in 1955, winning three MVP awards (in 1951, 1953 and 1955).
