The retro-style charm of Oriole Park at Camden Yards served as backdrop for the 1993 All-Star Game. Brimming with baseball history and lore -- Babe Ruth's father once owned a saloon in the area where centerfield is in the park -- Camden Yards was as much the star of the night as Kirby Puckett, who won Game MVP honors with a homer and double in the AL's 9-3 victory. This star-spangled, red, white and blue 27" x 94" acrylic banner that hung from the grandstand during the event was signed by 14 AL All-Stars on a white area on the left side around the words "All-Star Week '93 July 8-13." Signatures include hometown hero Cal Ripken Jr. at the top, Roberto Alomar, Joe Carter, Wade Boggs, Cecil Fielder, Mike Mussina, Jimmy Key, Pat Hentgen, Carlos Baerga, John Olerud, Travis Fryman, and manager Cito Gaston. Signatures are in blue marker and rate between 8s and 9s and near 10s with Ripken among the best. The banner comes with a certificate of authenticity.
