This hand-painted, 7-1/2" high bobbin-head doll of Roger Maris was a hot commodity after Maris hit 61 home runs in 1961 to break the record of Babe Ruth. Maris is captured smiling in his pinstriped Yankee uniform and cap, both of which bear the "NY" logo, and holding a brown bat at his side. The piece is in near-flawless condition. It is mounted on a ceramic base with a facsimile Maris signature and comes with the original box and original wrapping, featuring an illustration of the doll under the words "Mr. Home Run".
