This set contains three framed color inserts from the 1940-41 Sunday News, featuring the images of many baseball legends. What makes this of particular interest to collectors is the April 1941 insert that highlights Joe DiMaggio before his magical season where the 56 game hitting streak was established. Also depicted is the great "King Carl" Hubell, Giants slugger Mel Ott, Yankees catcher Bill Dickey and other past superstars. These 15" x 22" vibrant inserts are in excellent condition.
