In 1958, Kansas All-American Wilt Chamberlain gave up his senior year to go pro. However, the NBA's rule prohibiting players to play in the NBA whose class hadn't graduated led him to spend that year with the Harlem Globetrotters, adding even more magic to their legendary act, which on this 1958 Globetrotter poster is touted as "Basketball's No. 1 show!" The 14" x 22" cardboard poster from a November game in Peoria shows a player spinning a globe on his finger and carrying a suitcase covered with decals from around the world. Graced by Wilt's grade 7 signature in black marker, the colorful poster is shorn around the edges but is a great curio of The Stilt's life and times.
