This salesman sample Larry Bird 1981 NBA championship ring is a replica of the first of Larry Legend's 3 title rings and is testament to his influence on a team. When Bird came to the Boston Celtics in 1979, the dynasty was in shambles. Only one year later, Brid's deadeye shooting, passing and defense had put the Celtics back on top. In 13 seasons in green, Bird won Rookie of the Year, was MVP 3 times and a first team All-Star 9 times. His iron will to win was apparent in 1981 when he lugged the Celtics back from a 3-1 deficit in games to defeat the 76ers in the Eastern Conference playoffs, before disposing of the Rockets in a 6-game Finals. The gold, size-10 ring has a 3/4" face with a green stone on which is mounted an approx. 1/4K c.z. On the right shank is the Celtics' green clover leaf logo with "Celtics" and "XIV" for the 14th team title, flanked by "Bird" and "Pride". On the left shank is the NBA logo, "1981" and "Teamwork."
