Overall, Larry Bird will be remembered with an elite five or six players including Chamberlain, Magic, Jordan and Erving. Along with Magic Johnson, Bird revitalized the NBA in the 1980s with a competitive rivalry between the Celtics and the Lakers. He has won every major distinction professional basketball bestows on its players. Bird was MVP in 1984, 1985 and 1986 and was named to the all NBA First Team for nine consecutive seasons from 1980-1988. In 1996, Bird was named to the 50 Greatest Players Team and in 1998, he was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame. On the left front tail of the jersey is a white label reading "2"LB" in computer print. This denotes two extra inches in body length. Next to this is the "Sand-Knit" label and size "44." Across the front of the jersey is the name "All-Stars" in red on blue letters and on the back is "Bird East" in red letters. The player number "33" appears on both the front and back of the jersey. The numbers on the front are red and the numbers on the back are blue. All the letters and numbers have been ironed-on. In the waistband of the shorts is the "Sand-Knit" label and size "34."
