At six-foot-four, Sam Jones was the prototype of the tall guard who could run the floor, bang the boards and had a rangy offensive game that gave opponents fits. An extremely popular player, in 1970 Jones was selected to the NBA silver Anniversary Team, a composition of the greatest NBA stars of the league's first 25 years. He later would be named one of the top 50 NBA players in history. On the inside lower right of the jersey is the "Wilson" label with the size, "Ex-Large." Across the front of the shirt is the name "East."The player number "24" appears on both the front and back of the jersey. The letters and numbers are made of red tackle twill. On the lower front of the shirt is an autograph. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
