The 1990-1991 season was when the Michael Jordan era began in earnest, affecting the NBA for the next decade. After 5 seasons of coming of age in the league, MJ's leadership qualities caught up with his sky-climbing pyrotechnics on the court, fashioning a winner with a refuse-to-lose will and an aura of perfection. Riding Jordan's 31.5 point average, and 34.7 in the playoffs, the Bulls disposed of the Knicks, 76ers, then slew the champion Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals in a 4-game blowout, and trampled the LA Lakers in five games to win the NBA title. Given the breakthrough nature of that season for MJ and his team, the significance of this white with red and black trimming home Bulls warm-up jacket worn by Jordan that season is self-evident. The jacket has the Champion label and size "48" tag in the neck. There are also separate tags with "90", "23", "4 MLB" and "4MLS." An additional label reads "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Chicago Bulls." The front of the snap-front, tie-waisted jacket has the NBA Players logo sewn into the upper right chest. The Bulls snorting bull logo is screened onto the upper left chest and the back. On the left sleeve is the NBA 25th Anniversary patch. The jacket comes with extensive documentation and authentication.
