One of the original members of the Steel Curtain, Dwight White was the right defensive end for one of the NFL’s most storied defensive lines, a unit that also included Ernie Holmes, Joe Greene, and L.C. Greenwood. On the front left tail of the durene jersey is the remnants of the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag which is no longer present due to fabric loss. Adjacent is a firmly attached box tag reading the year “76”. In the rear neck is the Sand-Knit “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Pittsburgh Steelers” tag. Across the front, back and on both shoulders is the player number “78” in white tackle twill. Across the back on a black nameplate is the player name “WHITE” in yellow tackle twill. White signed the back of the jersey in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates a strong 8.
