In the neck is a Rawlings manufacturer’s tag size “42” with washing instructions. The tag is starting to become unsewn. Embroidered in a strip tag below reads “53 83 1” representing the coach’s number, the year, and the jersey set. Across the chest reads “Mets” and below is the coach’s number “53”. Across the back on a blue nameplate reads the coach’s name, “VALENTINE”. The nameplate has been restored. Below is another “53”. All numbering and lettering is done in grey on orange tackle twill. Valentine signed the back of the jersey inside the “5” in blue marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. This jersey is properly tagged and was presented to us as coaches worn.
