On the front left tail is the Russell Athletic manufacturer's tag size “48” with washing instructions. Attached below are two flag tags that read “100% POLYESTER” and “2” EXTRA BODY LENGTH”. In the rear collar is a strip tag that reads “MATHENY 97-48-41”. On the left sleeve is a Brewers team logo patch and on the right sleeve is the “Jackie Robinson 50th Breaking Barriers” anniversary patch with a Russell Athletic logo embroidered below. Across the chest reads “BREWERS”. Below and on the back is the player number “22”. Across the back reads the player name “MATHENY”. All numbering and lettering is done in navy blue on gold on green tackle twill. Matheny signed the front of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “John 3:16” and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. There is catcher’s wear where the strap of the chest protector sat on the side. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
