The cover of the George McQuinn contract reads, “NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAYER’S CONTRACT - The CINCINNATI BASE BALL CLUB COMPANY Of CINCINNATI, OHIO WITH GEORGE McQUINN of BALSTON, VA.”. The cover has the signature of both the National League president Ford Frick and the American League president William Harridge. The cover is dated, “FEB 20 1936”. The body of the contract states that McQuinn earns “an aggregate salary of $3,000.” The second-to-last page is signed by the Reds Vice President in black ink and McQuinn in blue ink on February 3rd, 1936 and in our opinion the signatures rate a combined 9. The cover of the Hadley contract reads, “AMERICAN LEAGUE PLAYER’S CONTRACT - The American League Base Ball Club of New York WITH IRVING HADLEY OF LYNN, MASS”. The cover has the signature of the American League president William Harridge and is dated, “APR 10 1936”. The body of the contract states that Grimes earns “an aggregate salary of $7,500.” The second-to-last page is signed in a secretarial Jacob Ruppert signature and Hadley in black ink on January 23rd, 1936 and in our opinion the signatures rate a combined 8. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
