Steve Young was projected to be the number one pick in the 1984 NFL draft. He opted, instead, to go with the new United States Football League and signed with the L.A. Express. In 1985, after the USFL folded, Steve signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team that held his NFL draft rights. Young was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005. On the front left tail is the “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” manufacturer’s tag with size “46” and wash instructions. Across the front, on back and on each shoulder is the player number “8” screenprinted in grey and white. Across the back is the player name “YOUNG” screenprinted in white on a navy blue mesh nameplate. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
