Mr. October may only have played five years in the Bronx Zoo, but he certainly earned his pinstripes. As the “Straw that stirs the drink”, Reggie led the Bombers to back-to back World Championships in 1977-78 is perhaps best remembered for hitting three consecutive home runs in the clinching game of the 1977 World Series. Jackson was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993 and his number “44” resides in Monument Park. On the inner left seam of the jacket is the “ALADEN” manufacturer’s tag with jacket size “X-LARGE”. Inside the rear collar is a second “ALADEN” tag with “44 JAX” written in blue ink which has faded and bled due to laundering. Attached is a flag tag with size “XL”. On the left breast is the team interlocking “NY” logo done in white on navy blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the team embroidered “Top Hat” patch. The jacket is properly tagged, was presented to us as worn and in our opinion, shows wear.
