These two game-used caps come to us from the personal collection of Rick Rhoden. Amazingly enough, they are both from the same era and are different sizes proving that this hobby is not an exact science and players may wear one size today and another tomorrow. On the inner band of the black pillbox cap is the “New Era” manufacturers tag. Adjacent is the size “7-3/8” tag. Under the brim is player number “29” written in black marker. Pittsburgh “P” embroidered in gold; On the inner band of the yellow pillbox cap is the “New Era” manufacturers tag. Adjacent is the size “7-1/4” tag. Under the brim is player number “29” written in black marker. Pittsburgh “P” embroidered in black. The caps show nice game-use with sweat staining on the inner bands and appear to have no alterations of any kind. They are accompanied by a hand-signed LOA from Rick Rhoden.
