An expansion franchise, the club was founded in Los Angeles in 1961 as the Los Angeles Angels, and played their home games at Los Angeles' Wrigley Field, which had formerly been the home of the minor-league LA Angels. This original 1961 pennant is from the LA Angels inaugural season. It has a team color photo on front (with team roster on back of the photo) with original interlocking “LA” logo. “ANGELS” appears in red lettering with blue borders. The pennant is in magnificent overall condition with no visible rips, tears or stains.
