On this PCL baseball is “7th AIR FORCE ALL-STARS VS. NAVY ALL STARS HAWAII 1944”. The ball is signed by many participants including Joe DiMaggio on the lower in black ink west panel rating a 5-6 due to fading. Others signatures include McCormick, Edwards, Dillinger, Fain and Ardizoia. All signatures are done in black ink and are faded. The ball shows toning and is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. It is further accompanied by a copy of an Air Force team photo with DiMaggio and a copy of a 1945 photo from opening day, Wingman Field, HI where this game was played. The ball originates from the collection of Charlie Silvera.
